I've actually been wanting to update for a while since tons of things have have happened (such as, I've just donated my first bag of blood to the Philippine Red Cross, thanks to my being a cadet at the ROTC of the university I'm studying in) but there were always things that stopped me from doing so like school, stuff going on at home, and simply because there are just times that I didn't really feel like posting something then I forget about it or sometimes I'm at a loss for words.
Today will probably be very sentimental and memorable for me especially when I get older because I got to celebrate my very first Christmas party with my classmates slash blockmates at school. Just the planning part of it with my fellow class officers -- the president (me being the vice), the treasurer, and the secretary the day before and buying stuff that are gonna be prizes got me really, really excited.
I think that is probably because since I never really got to do this seriously, I mean, we didn't even plan games and raffles during high school, we just ate and exchanged gifts so yeah.
I'd like to think today was pretty successful though. I even kind of asked for feedback from my classmates just for the heck of it and they sincerely said that the party was a blast. Even though we really had a program set for the day which we prepared the day before as well, we actually lost it on the day itself, making me almost scared that it will become a huge flop!
We only had about three games and for food, we only prepared barbecue, roast chicken, rice, spaghetti, and fruit salad. I was also worrying that the food would not suffice, since of course there were boys and we all know how much boys eat, right? But in the end, we still had to give some of the food to the beggars outside school and some of us whose residences were near the school just took some home.
BTW, I guess I never told you guys but I am now a proud owner of a pink Samsung Champ. :D
"The letting go is definitely the hardest part but what’s ironic about it is that it’s where the freedom really is, right at the moment of letting go and it’s the biggest release ultimately."
One of my girl friends included that in her group message last night. We used to be good friends. BTW, I forgot to tell you guys that the uncle I’m closest to on my mother’s side has just celebrated his sixty first birthday this week. We didn’t have any big party or whatever but we did celebrate his special day with a cake roll with some kind of raw egg as filling, pansit malabon { spelling? } and a small tumbler of 0% trans fat ice cream.
Get it? I darn hope you do. Oh and the title above's not originally from me. Most of you who had probably already read the book earlier than me remember where that comes from but don't worry, I'll still tell. I actually stumbled upon twilight-quotes.com and it's somehow amazing in one way or another. So concludingly { if there's such word! }, I saw it on that site. Aaand the pretty icon's from Susy.
Romans { ch. XII, v. 16 } says “be not wise in your own conceits”. I so don’t like the song playing in the radio right now – I will be switching to my windows media player. I so now love what I’m hearing - Stephen Speaks’ Passenger Seat. I love classics like this one. Any ways, it’s Friday! I survived school, thank God! Can’t wait for the weekends and for a trim! Got the slide show from the official site of Stephen Speaks. XD
Yay, it's my twentieth post! Although so much stuff had been currently happening, none are that interesting to write about here but any ways I'll still be talking about those events since I have nothing else to blab about. First off, my mother have been asking me to accomplish these surveys for our high school library. I am almost finished with that. Second, another batch known as the twentieth set of students from the high school have just had their commencement excercises yesterday. The said event started at three in the afternoon and was done at seven in the evening.
I love the graduation songs that two of the sections from their batch composed. Bedan Name, was composed of words that were more in the religious kind. Until We Meet Again, sounds a lot like a famous song from an band which is composed of boys. Third, they had their baccalaureate (sp?) mass last thursday. Everyone who attended ate afterwards. One of the two canteens in our school served each of us a small meal composed of pasta, chicken fingers, brownies/crinkles, cheese sticks and iced tea. We all went home afterwards. :]
The first picture was one of many white balloons at the place where we ate after attending the Baccalaureate mass. The second is the side view of Father Anscar Chupungco, our school's current and respective rector-president. His homilies and lectures are usually boring and long but he's really friendly and nice when you approach him. I think that our school we'll be having a new rector-president next year. Wonder who that priest will be.
P. S. - speaking of priests, there's this specific priest that almost everyone in our school adores. He's widely called as Father Andy and I have known him personally since I was in my Elementary years in the same school. People like me who have grown up with him have also nicknamed him as Father Candy since he is very close with children and gives candies to youngsters whenever he has.
currently listening to: I'm With You by: Avril Lavigne feeling: talkative!
We planned again today of what we can do for a farewell party. I can't remember the last class' meeting on this topic. We planned to go swimming at one of our classmate's resort but then our teacher in mathematics resented the idea after our meeting when we told him about it because there was a thypoid fever outbreak at the place wherein that classmate of ours had a resort.
So we now have one last option in my point of view which is Enchanted Kingdom, sort of like an amusement park which is so huge and famous, but I don't think that the class should go there too because everyone, I mean, maybe most of us know that Enchanted Kingdom is in the same town/province as our classmate's resort.
So, again, we can't go there if they want to get away from the outbreak since there had just been a chickenpox outbreak in our class which is somehow already spreading to our batchmates and to some kids in first year high school. And besides, I don't think that my mother will even allow me to go because it's so faaar away from home but idk also. It's because there will be transportation anyways to and from our destinations.
And I'm somehow in between. It's "I don't think I want to go" and "I so like want to go". I want to go because I don't want to feel left out, as in, everybody's talking about it the next day and I don't even know whay they are actually talking about because I was not there! And my some of my friends, although not exactly my group, will be there for sure so that's a big plus! I don't want to go because it's far away from home and I'm not sure about what will possibly happen to me if they leave me behind and I get lost!
Yes, I'm being negative but there are so many possibilities! I'm also scared that they might pursue the swimming option and that they might see me in a swimsuit! Just imagining the whole scene that might happen looks horrifying! I am soo faaat and uglyy, I just don't think I'll look good in one, even in a one-piece. But if they pursue that Enchanted Kingdom option, I'm scared that I might get stuck in scary rides when the operator sees something wrong with the machinery they used!
I'm also thinking that I might throw up when I'm up high in a ride and then I'll be soo embarrassed! I just wish that they would just decide to have the farewell party at the mall near our school so that I can easily get permission with or without a ride and I know I will be safe/hazard-free because I practically have know the place since I was in the first grade!
