Local act: Salamin.

I can finally say I'm somewhat over my Bazooka Rocks PCD.

It's the worst PCD I've experienced in my life so far. ):

It hurts to know that all of those awesome bands... are gone. Just like that. Gone. )):

TPR setlist.
The concert totally blowed my mind, nevermind the usual stupid so called fans (there were not only girls, BUT ALSO FUCKING BOYS AND OTHER CREATURES AND SHIT).

There were 3 local acts (in order of performance: Penguin, Robin Nievera, and Salamin) that opened for the eight international bands (in order of performance: Avastera, The Wonder YearsA Skylit Drive, Forever the Sickest Kids, The Maine, Marianas Trench, Mayday Parade, and The Pretty Reckless).

Yes, TPR headlined the whole thing.

Doors opened 10 in the morning. But a pretty long line was already forming as early as 7:00A.M. (I only got there 7, which is why I know). Some people claim to having slept over at the event area themselves, hence, why they were at the front of the line.

Avastera and the local acts pretty much played for 30 minutes, more or less. Included in the 30 minutes were soundcheck and everything else.

The rest of the bands played for one hour and thirty minutes, more or less. Included in the time given was soundcheck and everything else.

TWY setlist.
There were around ten- to fifteen-minute intervals in between each performer for breaks.

The opening acts were a-m-a-z-i-n-g. But more so were the international bands.

Avastera's pretty new so let me introduce them a little. They are from Perth, somewhere in Western Australia. They are made of Mike Lang, Chris Hanssen, Chris Crole, Dave Thoomes, and Jamie Savage. Their sound is a mix of pop-punk, post-hardcore, and a bit melodic metal. These lads are making their way into the music scene fast. Proof? Within just their first 6 months, they have managed to support live internationally renowned acts such as Silverstein, Cartel, and The Getaway Plan.

But since they are indeed somewhat new to the scene, most of the crowd didn't know them yet. However, they already had FANS.

Like me, who sang along with them. Avastera played most of the songs from their EP, The Clocks Have Ticked Too Long. Lang and Hanssen definitely killed it up there at the stage.

Second to go was The Wonder Years which was absolute candy to pop punk fans in the crowd. They've been around since 2005, have released three full length albums, two EPs, and several splits/compilations. Soupy was lookin' good as usual. They sang my favorite, Local Man Ruins Everything, which put me high up at cloud nine. :)

"I’m not a self-help book; I’m just a fucked up kid.
I had to take my own advice and I did.
Now I’m waiting for it to sink in."

Do you now see why I love the song so much? :))

The crowd was already roaring when they got on stage.

Third was A Skylit Drive. Brian White was glorious, LaQuay was his usual good-lookin' self, and Jagmin was well... Jagmin. Besides their usual songs, they also sang their Punk Goes Pop 4 contribution, Love the Way You Lie. And that was pretty impressive too. I mean their cover sounded so good when you listen to the mp3, but it was so much better live.

FTSK glorious moment.

Fourth is FTSK and that's when the crazies happened! Everyone was pushing already and if you were in front, you would've experienced what I'm talking about personally. Everyone just wanted to get in front and see FTSK up close! It was so hard to breathe. FTSK was the craziest also as well. Cook even climbed one of the tall metal set-up stuff they had on stage, looking like a monkey and shit. They also covered a bit of Fun.'s We Are Young on the spot there. Balloons and confetti situated up at the ceilings were released during this time of the festival too.

The famous FTSK mic.

Unfortunately, they did not bring their famous mic.

Fifth to get a go was THE MAINE. Now you'd finally understand what was with all the pushing during FTSK's time. The people were not only pushing because they were hardcore FTSK fans or whatever but they were already pushing to get good spots for The Maine, especially the girls. That's how Maine-iac they have all fucking become.

I may have survived FTSK but I definitely felt an asthma attack coming on during The Maine's set so I left my awesome good spot in front and made a beeline for the CR to breathe at least a little. I watched the rest of their set from the back.

I was hoping so much that Callaghan be wearing his awesome pants again, the ones he wore during the Fan Party, with one side full of stars, and the other side with stripes. Anywho, John'o still looked like John'o in the end anyway, still as pretty as a right motherfucker. :">

Next was Marianas Trench and oh my fucking goodness, I may be one fat bitch BUT I SERIOUSLY SHAMELESSLY CROWD-SURFED to get to the front! And I was so close to Ramsay already but still to no avail... I was no match for the hardcore Trenchers up front! Anywho, what matters is the fact that I was so clooooose already, right? And the whole MT looked just so good since they actually wore somewhat uniform costumes/suits. 'Twas cute. :) Plus, they played FALLOUT, my most most most favorite-st MT song ever.

The Maine setlist.
Second to the last was Mayday Parade! The crowd during this time got a wee bit smaller because fan girls were already busy lining up at the merch booths to buy merch and get shit signed since bands hung out at their merch booths after their performances (the Avastera guys even played at the inflatable playground thing, so adorable) and because many of the Maine-iacs also wanted to finally breathe.

Many of the people left in the crowds were serious guy fans (MIND, GUY, NOT GAY). And they were not just some guy fans.... They were seriously TALL-as-fuck guy fans. I almost died. I mean, I'm fat and short like shit, how the hell can I crowdsurf my way again to the front?! (Ever since Maine, I always exit the crowd after every band to breathe and just bask in PCDs.) I did not end up getting somewhere middle or front, but still my spot was pretty fine so I still sang so much and headbanged so much.

The song I cannot forget that they definitely sang was Three Cheers for Five Years (because I cannot ever forget how Sanders introduced the song) and Black Cat (because that is my most favorite favorite favorite song from them and I wasn't expecting that they would sing it since it doesn't seem to be a usual common fan favorite). In introducing Three Cheers, he said something around the lines, "our next song is one of our first songs ever. It's about a girl cheating on a guy after they've been together for a pretty long time. If you know the song, please sing along."

Mayday Parade setlist.
By this time as well, rumors of another band playing had been full circulating. This has started during soemtime around FTSK/The Maine, further fueled by the fact that This Century merch was being sold at the merch booth, even if they were not playing at the event. However, it was rumored that this was impossible because TPR would be playing up until around 11-12midnight. Time issues, as usual.

Last to play was TPR. By this time during the concert, the crowd had become smaller significantly. These can be attributed greatly to the fact that many people's houses were far away so they had to go already, some had classes the next day (it was a Sunday after all), and simply because many were tired from the first 10 performances. Also, contributing to all of this was the fact that TPR took so long to get out and finally perform. I think they may have surpassed the ten- to fifteen-minute interval break thing. It was that long for them to just get on stage.

They managed to redeem theirselves though. Momsen as usual looked hot, wearing knee-high boots, a black loose graphic dress, her braids, and this black jacket thing. She eventually shed the jacked halfway on. Rumors have circulated after the show that she wasn't wearing a bra under the dress and jacket but no one knows for sure because after every song, the lights would dim. She took off the jacket during one of these times. It was said that she put on a bra as well during one of these moments.

Also, This Century never came. I would know. I still hung out a bit after TPR performed.

'til these hearts collide.
