Whakaio's so adorable!
If Liv5 was asdfghjkl;AMAZING and TFT/EA/Beckett was fantastique...

CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE HOW MUCH MORE AWESOME IT WAS DURING THE TONIGHT ALIVE/INSPECTOR CLUZO CONCERT??

HA! I bet you can't.... Especially if you weren't there yourself! :))

First of all, let me enlighten you who the fuck these two awesome bands are...

Tonight Alive is a five-piece pop punk band from Sydney, Australia. They formed in 2008, and have since played alongside other FAAAAAB artists such as Anberlin, Simple Plan, We Are The In Crowd, and Never Shout Never. They are currently signed onto Fearless. Tonight Alive is Jenna McDougall (lead vocals), Whakaio Taahi (lead guitar, backing vocals, and MY CRUSH haha), Jake Hardy (rhythm guitar), Cam Adler (bass and also, backing vocals), and Matt Best (drums and my friend, aka, CONCERT BUDDY's boyfriend, or so she says loool).

On the other hand, INSPECTOR CLUZO! There is actual little known about them, since they're French, and their site's almost all French and they have no Wikipedia page as of yet... But! These guys are DOPEEEE.

Cluzo press pic.
The former guitarist (Lawrence Lacrouts) and drummer (Matthew Jordan) of the deadly funk band Wolfunkind decide to start a new project together. Their fucking bass player never shows up at the practice, so they said “fuck the bass player” and start the band as an original funk’n'roll duo, playing rock and groovy music… without a bass. Their old mate Angelo Moore from Fishbone found the first name of the band, “Pink Panther”, but they were affraid of legal issues and preferred to be called The Inspector Cluzo, one of the most well-know French characters in the world. They have played at the most prestigious festivals (Fuji Rock in Japan, Pentaport in South Korea, Springscream in Taïwan, The Falls and Southbound in Australia, Azkena Festival in Spain, Eurockéeenes in France, Pohoda in Slovakia, Rock For People in Czech Rep). They are known as Malcolm (Lacrouts, guitar) and Phil (Jordan, drums).

The whole concert was actually in celebration of Bazooka Rocks, The Philippines' first indoor rock festival, happing on the 30th, Sunday. Kind of like, a pre-concert of sorts. :)

The most-awaited.
Cluzo played as opening for TA but maaaaan, they totally pumped the crowd during their performance!

Since my concert buddy and I were pretty early at the event and got to line up quick (but unfortunately, not so early as to be the first ones there, since the concert was on a Saturday and we had fucking Saturday classes, we ditched our last 2 classes but still attended the first one), we totally got to attach ourselves to barricade right there in front of the stage where the bands will be performing (sort of like, front row seats at the cinema or theatre or play).

Cluzo played quite a number of songs and since they were naturally a guitarist and drummer, they only did a few vocals (the guitarist sang more than the drummer) and did more guitar riffs and drum beats! It was so awesome because they don't do normal riffs and beats, they have this eccentric touch to it, so the whole time, my friend and I just kept banging our heads and just appreciating the way the riffs and beats complimented the other.

Cluzo seemed to notice this and they actually wanted my friend and I to go up the stage (to dance or what, we don't know!). I let my friend go but I did not because I'm kind of.... well, fat. ): BUT NOT THAT FAT, okay? Just normal fats. But still. And I didn't exactly want to lose our good positions at the crowd so I didn't go. They also asked one of the guys at the other side to go up. AND HELL, THEY DID MADE THEM DANCE this sexy dance thing. It was just hilarious and shit. I shall never let my friend live that down. Even the awks boy danced, you know. Good thing, I didn't go up.

Le TA guitar picks!
Then they played again some more after that, and then asked me + 2 girls again to go up the stage! And again, I DID NOT. Ugh, times like these when I hate my fatness. )): The 2 girls who did go up were like just all awkward and shit upstage, I was so embarrassed for them and disgusted because they didn't appreciate the music like damn. ):

So we were all definitely energetic when TA finally came on! They started off with the intro -- Eject, Eject, Eject! then went straight to play Breaking & Entering. They were all so amazing and Jenna danced all the time her usual moves and Whakaio... Oh Whakaio! Well of course, he was hot and shit as usual. :)

Also, I have new friends again!! There's this guy, I call him PP and now do everyone else. PP stands for Pop Punk, since the first thing he said that impressed me was "pop punk ain't dead"! So there. And he adores The Wonder Years (also one of the bands playing on the 30th) which was pretty amazing.

P.S.: I GOT A FREE TA GUITAR PICKKKKK! Hence, the picture above. Lucky bitch, that ought to be me, yes. :D Actually, my friend got one too. SO LUCKY BITCHES WE DAMN ARE. :DD We both got the black ones. They weren't throwing any white ones to the crowd that night. :)

P.P.S.: my friend won her ticket from a contest, while I, on the other hand, had to buy my own. I didn't really want to go in the first place because I didn't really know TA (I only knew them from their Purevolume years since I used to hang there a lot) but my friend begged me to go because she said she wouldn't have as much fun without me, SERIOUS! But I'm so glad she made me go. \m/

P.P.P.S.: since the contest that my friend entered spurred so many winners, only a few people bought tickets. Turns out, those who buy merch on the spot and tickets get to automatically meet and greet TA! So I got to m&g them while my friend didn't but she made me take her sketchbook anyway and made me swear on my life to make her dearest Matt Best sign, if not all of the band members. I actually made them sign my phone (Jenna even gushed how cute it was and asked me to teach her how to use it) while I kept saying again and again to make sure they come back (I've been listening to their songs this whole month just to get used to the feels) after the whole thing and they said, "of course, we'll come back!" Before the whole m&g though, they did this interview thing where we get to throw them questions and they can all answer it!

P.P.P.P.S.: the signatures are now gone. ): I'm that stupid. The material my phone is made with... ugh. )): So no more signatures, just memories. My friend kept on saying, "I fucking told you so." I hate her so much right now. :'( CREYSSSS.

'til these hearts collide.
