The concert was amazing. Period.

Even if:

  1. it was all the way at Skydome, which is very far away from my house, mind you.
  2. the thing started past 7pm, ended at around past 11pm.
  3. there were tons of fake fans (or annoying fan girls who were just there because of Beckett, period, therefore not even appreciating the other EA and TFT).
  4. Only a few people were at the event. It was sad. Embarrassing. These amazing people went all the way here to perform and do their awesome thing but people just... ugh. Have really bad music taste I guess.
The following things made everything much better though:

  1. I got to know a new band. Truthfully, I wasn't really that familiar with TFT before all of this. But still I bought me and my friend (aka, forever concert buddy) VIP tickets because it was BECKETT and EVERY AVENUE. If these TFT people were playing with these two, THAT WOULD HAVE MEANT THEY MUST BE PRETTY FAB TOO.
  2. I still got to celebrate Independence Day.
  3. I MET NEW PEOPLE, I MEAN, FRIENDS. There were these two girls who were actually siblings who were actually, would you believe not there because of Beckett but because of the bands (it was hard to believe at first because you know SO MANY OF THESE DAMNED GIRLS AT THE EVENT WERE FUCKING PLAIN FAN GIRLS THAT'S WHAT), then there was this loner-at-first girl who was actually at Skydome as early as me and my friend was then she saw me, we became friends then boom! - FRIENDS, THE 3 OF US, then the friend she was actually expecting finally showed up, SO THEN, NEW FRIEND. So yeah, basically 4 new friends. Oh, and did I tell you that the sisters were actually British but sad because they were only allowed to attend one concert every year. YES, ONE. It was so... heartbreaking. The mere idea. AND WHILE WE WERE ALL WAITING FOR THE DOORS TO FINALLY OPEN, all we talked about was MUSICCCC. Fucking fantastic if you ask me.
To tell you the honest and entire truth, me and my friend weren't supposed to go in the first place because we didn't really have cash since we spent the summer going out and buying expensive foreign liquor (we spent around five thousand good bucks OF MINE for this shit -- buying Capt'n Morgan, Jack D's, Tequila Rose, Bailey's, gin, this gold bits alcohol thing, etc. amongst many things) and just stuffing ourselves and watching movies and shit that even if I did actually slave away at a job this summer, I was still drained financially.

More so was my friend because she didn't even work AT ALL during the summer vacation.

Hell, we weren't even able to go watch the We the Kings concert during the vacation. Fuckers. ):

What made us buy tickets, or more correctly, ME buy US tickets was because there was this contest or promo thing that I joined (which I was not even expecting to win in the first place)... The winners get to meet these people but, upon knowing you are the winner, you must immediately send an email with a picture of your actual ticket to the event attached along with the usual details (your e-mail address, contact numbers, whole name, etc.).

AND MAN, I WON.

But here's the dealbreaker, there was a sort of time limit for the email sending.

So I immediately called my concert buddy, told her we need to get tickets asap, I don't care how much, I don't care how, and I don't care where but WE HAD TO GO.

But the mall where the booth that sells tickets kinda opens late in the morning and the motherfucking time limit was at around earlier in the morning.

SO YES, I missed the due time thing.

But I still bought us tickets, still e-mailed in the hopes that...

But I got no e-mail confirmation and that was required and I died. A million deaths.

I even tried to claim it on the spot at the event, you know... TO NO AVAIL. ):

ANYWAY, the concert was ROCKING so MY MONEY DID NOT GO TO WASTE AFTER ALL. :)

P.S.: Beckett sang all of his four songs (Girl You Shoulda Been a Drummer, etc.) on his first EP (as a solo artist, after The Academy Is... broke up) but he also sang a lot of TAI songs (like About a Girl :D) which was amazing (hell, my friend even teared up during one of his last songs, that was how much she WAS touched by the whole thing) and he really did solo (all he had with him was his two laptops with this studio thing I think and his two guitars). EVERYONE WAS SINGING ALONG WITH HIM. Also, TFT performed Deathbed which was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! It's my and my friend's fave song. Teehee. :">

P.P.S.: Beckett even took a moment and taught us how to sing one of his songs PROPERLY. Sweeeet.

P.P.P.S.: Sorry this post took so long. The concert was Tuesday night and I had really bad PCD (Post Concert Depression) the whole day yesterday.... So yeah, sorry.

'til these hearts collide.
